The 13th Business of IP Asia Forum, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held in Hong Kong from December 7 to 8. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Administration (WIPO), Michael Wong Wai-lun, Hong Kong's Deputy Financial Secretary attended the forum and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony respectively.

On December 10, Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), held a bilateral meeting with Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), who headed a delegation to China for the 20th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum.

The 20th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum kicked off on December 10 in Shanghai, with the theme of "Strengthening Legal Protection for Intellectual Property, Fueling Innovation-Driven Development of Digital Economy".

The 29th Heads Meeting between the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the 30th Heads Meeting between the CNIPA and the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the 23th CNIPA-JPO-KIPO's Trilateral Intellectual Property Offices (TRIPO) Heads Meeting were held consecutively in Busan, Korea on November 30.

Upon an invitation from the European Patent Office (EPO), Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently headed a delegation to the 17th Conference of Heads of Offices between the CNIPA and the EPO, which was held via both online and offline channels.

In recent years, there have been rapid technological advances in the area of "AI-related inventions" which have resulted in significant increases in AI-related patent applications.

The Regional Meetings on Integrating Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) into National and Institutional Strategic Frameworks, co-organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

The 7th China-UK Intellectual Property Symposium was held in Beijing recently. Hu Wenhui, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Adam Williams, Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of the United Kingdom (UKIPO) attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech respectively.
