The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI) have jointly decided to extend their Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program for another five years from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2028.

The 13th Business of IP Asia Forum, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held in Hong Kong from December 7 to 8. The 20th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum kicked off on December 10 in Shanghai, with the theme of "Strengthening Legal Protection for Intellectual Property, Fueling Innovation-Driven Development of Digital Economy".

The 29th Heads Meeting between the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the 30th Heads Meeting between the CNIPA and the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the 23th CNIPA-JPO-KIPO's Trilateral Intellectual Property Offices (TRIPO) Heads Meeting were held consecutively in Busan, Korea on November 30.

Upon an invitation from the European Patent Office (EPO), Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently headed a delegation to the 17th Conference of Heads of Offices between the CNIPA and the EPO, which was held via both online and offline channels.
