Hu Wenhui, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently met Manuel Guzman, President of the U.S.-based Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) in Beijing.
Hu said that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to IP protection and made tremendous progress in establishing and improving relevant legal system, strengthening construction of specialized institutions and teams, raising awareness of respecting and protecting IP of the whole society. The CNIPA is willing to listen to comments and suggestions from all walks of life at home and abroad, and wishes that the CAS may have more profound communication and cooperation with relevant Chinese IP institutions.
Guzman showed appreciation for what China has achieved in the IP field, introduced CAS's intelligent innovations on IP information products and looked forward to keeping close collaboration with Chinese IP institutions.
CNIPA principal officials responsible for the International Cooperation Department, Patent Documentation Department of the Patent Office and IP Publishing House Co., Ltd. also attended the meeting.
