The Regional Meetings on Integrating Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) into National and Institutional Strategic Frameworks, co-organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong. CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Li Danlu and WIPO Assistant Director General Marco Aleman attended the event and delivered a speech respectively.
Li noted that the Chinese government has been attaching great importance to IP work. The CNIPA has been committed to advancing the construction of TISCs and organizing TISC-related international seminars in cooperation with the WIPO for many times, boosting the communication and cooperation of the global TISC network. China is willing to enhance exchanges with the TISC network in different countries and achieve mutual development.
Aleman appreciated China's efforts in organizing the event with the WIPO and stressed that the TISCs are playing a major role in helping stimulate the countries' innovation capacity and promoting IP commercialization.
Representatives attending the event were from the CNIPA, IP authorities of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, TISCs in China and 11 other Asian countries.
