On December 10, Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), held a bilateral meeting with Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), who headed a delegation to China for the 20th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum.
Shen welcomed Tang and his delegation, reviewed the events marking the 50th anniversary of cooperation between China and the WIPO and other cooperative projects in key areas, and introduced the latest progress of the Chinese IP work.
Tang said that the China's IP system has made great achievements in the past 50 years. Year to now, China has also yielded many important outcomes in the construction of the IP ecosystem. The WIPO will work closely to advance bilateral cooperation in the next step, celebrate China's 30th anniversary of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and boost our cooperation to new heights and depths.
The two sides also shared wisdom on issues of common interest.
CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Lu Pengqi and WIPO Deputy Director General Wang Binying also attended the meeting.
