Shen Changyu Meets SAIP CEO Abdulaziz A. Alswailem

Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) met Abdulaziz A. Alswailem, CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) in Beijing recently.

Shen noted that in recent years, under personal attention and strategic guidance from state leaders of China and Saudi Arabia, the two sides have synergized their development strategies intensively with fruitful results harvested in multiple fields.

Alswailem highly praised the important results of the cooperation between the two IP offices and said that the SAIP is willing to deepen communication and cooperation with the CNIPA, strengthen mutual learning and sharing, and promote the cooperation results to better serve the innovators of the two countries for the joint development of both IP undertakings.

After the meeting, the two sides signed a joint statement of intent for the extension of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program to extend the pilot program for an indefinite period of time.
